Quick answer
| Landing page (single page) | €180 – 800 |
|---|---|
| Simple website (up to 5 pages) | €400 – 1,500 |
| WordPress business site (6–15 pages) | €600 – 3,000 |
| Online shop | €1,200 – 6,000+ |
| Custom website or web app | from €3,000 |
| Domain + hosting + maintenance | €60 – 600 per year |
The short answer: it depends on what the site must do
The price of a website depends less on the number of pages than on what it has to do: present your business, generate enquiries, sell products or run internal processes. Based on prices published by agencies and freelancers in Spain in 2025–2026, most small-business websites fall between €400 and €2,500 up front.
All prices in this guide exclude VAT (IVA), which is 21% in Spain.
Website prices by type
| Type | Best for | Typical price (ex. VAT) | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page | A campaign, one service, lead capture | €180 – 800 | 3 – 10 days |
| Simple website (1–5 pages) | Freelancers and local businesses | €400 – 1,500 | 1 – 3 weeks |
| Business website (6–15 pages) | Companies with several services and a blog | €600 – 3,000 | 3 – 6 weeks |
| WordPress site with blog | Businesses that want to publish and rank | €550 – 2,500 | 2 – 5 weeks |
| Online shop | Selling products with payments and shipping | €1,200 – 6,000+ | 4 – 10 weeks |
| Custom site or web app | Bookings, client areas, CRM/ERP integrations | from €3,000 | 2 – 6 months |
A landing page is the cheapest and fastest option and works well for ads, but it will not rank several services on Google. A WordPress website is the most common choice for businesses that want to edit content themselves. Shops are covered in our guide to online store costs, and anything a plugin cannot handle falls under custom web development.
Freelancer, agency or DIY builder
| Option | Up-front cost | Ongoing cost | Good fit if… | Watch out for… |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Builder (Wix, Squarespace, etc.) | €0 + your time | Roughly €15–40/month on business plans | Tight budget, spare time, an eye for design | You never own the site; moving away is hard |
| Freelancer | €300 – 1,500 for small sites | Hosting, plus maintenance if hired | Simple project, trusted professional | Relying on one person's availability |
| Agency | €800 – 5,000+ | Hosting and maintenance | You want design, copy, SEO and support together | Paying for overheads a small business doesn't need |
Builders are fine for testing an idea, but three years of subscription fees can exceed the cost of a professionally built site, and advanced SEO and speed tend to lag behind. A good freelancer can deliver great value; just ask who handles updates and backups after launch. Small agencies like ours offer a team and continuity at fixed, small-business prices.
Cheap websites: when they make sense and when they backfire
A tight budget is perfectly reasonable. A cheap site makes sense when you are just starting out, when your business runs on referrals, or for a short-lived campaign page. The warning signs of a site that is too cheap:
- The domain is registered to the provider, not to you.
- Monthly fees with a 24–36 month lock-in that add up to more than owning a site.
- An untouched template with filler text and stock photos.
- No basic SEO and poor mobile speed.
- No legal pages (legal notice, privacy, cookies), which can lead to fines in Spain.
- Nobody maintains it, so outdated plugins end in a hacked or broken site.
What changes the price
- Custom design vs template. Custom design sets your brand apart but takes more hours.
- Number of pages and distinct layouts.
- Copywriting. Supplying your own text lowers the price; SEO copy is extra but pays off.
- Photos and video.
- Features: bookings, payments, multiple languages, client areas, CRM integration.
- SEO groundwork: keyword research, site structure, speed, structured data.
- Deadline. Rush jobs usually cost more.

How much does a WordPress website cost?

How much does it cost to run a website each year?
